JUNIOR NEWSLETTER
Another year of cricket is
here and we hope to repeat the great success of 2010.
Our coaching sessions will
commence on Saturday 30th April, and we will have
coaching sessions every Saturday morning until 30th July,
except when matches have been arranged on those days. Details of the
match dates are listed on our website. Additional coaching sessions
and matches might be arranged during August. Please note that all
coaching sessions will commence at 10.00am and finish at 11.30am.
This year many of our
matches will be played on Wednesdays and therefore only a few
coaching sessions will take place at 7.00pm on Wednesday’s in
conjunction with the Youth Club. Details will be provided when the
days can be arranged.
Drinks will be provided at
all coaching days.
Members are invited to use
the practise nets as often as possible.
Membership Application
Forms
The forms will be handed out
at the training sessions or delivered where necessary. Please
ensure that all forms and subscriptions are returned to the club by
1st June. This year we have maintained our subscription
fees at £10. Any player who has not paid their subscriptions by
that date will not be eligible to play for the club until paid.

Invitation Cup
This year our club is again
entering an under 12’s (year 7) team into the league. Details of the
matches are listed on our website. The first match is away to
Stansted Hall on Wednesday 4th May. Please note that all
matches are planned to start at 6.00pm so we ask that all chosen
players are at the match venue by 5.45pm. In the event of any games
being cancelled the coaches will contact the players or their
parents as soon as possible using the information given on the
application forms. Last year we did very well as the first year we
have entered this league. This year we hope that last years
experience will enable the club to beat some of the clubs that we
lost to last year. Maybe this year we can get to the final!
Matches for the older age
groups are being arranged and details will be put on our website
when confirmed.

One to One Coaching
We have three ECB level 1
coaches in the club. We are very fortunate to have Gary Kidd as our
coach as he has a level 2 qualification and enhanced CRB check.
Gary is therefore able to offer one to one coaching to any of our
junior players at a fee of £15 per hour. Any members wishing to
take advantage of Gary’s coaching should contact him on 01799

Match Day Teas
We are very grateful to all
the mothers who made all the cakes and sandwiches, not to mention
the half time oranges, for the match days last year. However we
felt that it was fairer if the cost of the food was covered by match
fees. This year therefore we are charging £1 to anyone who plays in
those home matches. These fees will be paid to the mothers who
prepare the teas on those days.
